Surenuf combines Marquis Kennels and Rockin K Aussies as co-breeders on Surenuf Aussies.
Jo Kell of Rockin K Kennel has been raising, breeding and showing Australian Shepherds since 1979. Karen Broadus of Marquis Kennel has been raising, breeding and showing Australian Shepherds since 1974. Making a combined total of 62 years being involved with Australian Shepherds.
In 1987 Karen and Jo co-bred their first litter. After 7 years of co-breeding and co-planning litters, we felt the need for a combined kennel name. After serious thought we decided our co-breeding kennel name would be known as Surenuf Kennel. In 1994 the first dog to be given the new kennel name was Neal (Marquis Surenuf For Rockin K). We combined all three names into one as our beginning. We have been registering our co-bred dogs as Surenuf for the past 13 years. It has now been a total of 20 years of very successful co-breeding and co-owning.
Surenuf is more than just a kennel name. Jo and I have been very good friend for 28 years. I can honestly say, "we SURENUF agree on anything we decide to do".

"Scotty" being one of the Red Merle Dogs that will carry on the tradition of both Marquis and Rockin K Aussies with producing impressive reds. He is a very strong line bred dog on Hot Toddy. He is producing best on outcross bitches. He has an incredible Front, Head Piece, color, size, bone with a wonderful attitude to top it all off. Ch. Surenuf Kiss the Tears Away
"Kate" being another of the Surenuf dogs to continue with our lines. She is a young Blue Merle Bitch who has exceptional attitude and a strong want to please. She is a hit in and out of the ring. Kate had a short college education . . .as she attended Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN with Chris for a time. It was one of those priceless socialization times for her. She greeted everyone with a smile and if you let her a "Kiss", which she still continues each day. Kate has started agility training besides her show career. She loves the attention and most of all the cheese she gets to eat.

Eric is a young male who has lots of show attitude. he obtained his HT (herding test) in short order. With limited showing until the end of 2006 Eric has 2 group 2's, 1 Group 2, 2 group 3's and 2 group 4's. With the beginning of 2007 Eric will start a new career on the show circuit with clint livingston. His pups are just an exciting as he is, nice structure and attitudes that should carry them far in the show ring or any other avenue that the owners want to do.
"Eric" is one of the Dogs that will carry on the tradition. He is a very correct and awesome individual. He has an incredible front, head, movement, color and bone. A 21 1/2 inch dog, with a wonderful attitude. Eric has the temperament that makes a great show dog (he will never quit). You can see more on Eric's page.
